The original balcony was built sometime in the 1700's in England. It was dismantled and moved to Long Island where it was reassembled as the balcony over the entrance at Old Westbury Garden. We were contracted to restore and recreate the balcony. It had to be dismantled and taken back to our shop for restoration. The project took approximately 400 hours to repair and restore then was reassembled on site. The balcony had floral details that were leafed with 24K gold, as seen above. The rest of the balcony was painted with a black paint.
