We fabricated this Balcony out of Aluminum square tube and custom water jet cut pickets. The home owner had a couple of picket ideas so we made samples of each one and they decided which one to go with for the balcony. The brackets had to fit around the window that is below the balcony. The brackets had a sun type pattern. This pattern had to be worked so that there was enough room for mounting lags to be installed. Aluminum 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" tube for the corners and the top rail and bottom rail is 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" tube. The pickets measured 3/8" x 2 1/2" at the widest point. The client decided on a metallic bronze paint color. The installation was done with a lift and the balcony was bolted into place. The floor of the balcony was aluminum grating.
